Smile Children's Home Photo's

Hello. I just wanted to share some photographs that I made last Saturday in Elridge, Alabama at the Children's Home. BTW; if we all felt as good as the young boy in the swing the world would be a better place to be! In the not so subtle 'yellar' jacket in the Walmart parking lot is Fletcher Clark of Ruleville, Mississippi-a gentleman and a scholar; rides purdy good too! With his back to the camera (to protect his brother Skippy's identity) is our very own Al Hennigan of Wartrace/Tullahoma, Tennessee-a neat fellow with a dual sport personality! Who said BMW riders don't go for stuffed animals? The lettle fellow on the pillion is Don Norwood's alter ego. Next, the helicopter-provided, at the persuasion of Daddy Don, to take a child up in th' air as a special treat. Neat to look at; hope I never need it's services. Finally, some nice, old and unrestored Hondas-these are the types of machines that I learned to ride on in the mid to late sixties-we've come a loooong way baby!

Thank you again Don Norwood for all that you do...

Bruce thanks for the pics...the cute little flight nurse promised me that she would send me some aerial pics of the campus and bikes...so if and when .. I will post...

Don't tell Brett about the chocolate bread pudding and lemon pie.....

Thanks for coming over again this year, hey as I was getting ready to leave the home Saturday a little boy, ask me if that yellow (GS) motorcycle was my bike, I replied yes and he ask if he could go for a ride... I explained that I had taken the rear seat off to haul that stuff toy plus some other things, he said OK, I understand, but as I was getting my gear on he walked up again and said " hey mister, I believe I can hang on"...

I don't know if this first picture is the same boy that wanted the ride or not, but this one sure was interested in in the Zula Mae. If you had a little of that sting left, I'm sure we could have got him tied down in some manner, but he might have objected to the string around the nose.

The other photo is the group that made the impromptu RTE at Woodpecker's.

Please be sure you mark down the first Saturday in December on your '06 calendar, this is one ride you don't want to miss.

Hey, Bruce, enjoyed the pix and the fellowship. I was visiting with a friend today and he was telling me that the hottest things for Christmas this year for outdoors-type kids is Muck boots. All of the sporting goods stores here have them. You're styln' man........

Hey Fletcher,

Sorry to sneak out on ya'll like I did, but I had to get going in order to get back in time for the little doo-da I had to attend. Good thing too, 'cause I just made it in time. So, when's our next adventure?

Al,
Sorry that you had to cut out. I enjoyed the get-to-gether. Don, Bruce, and I , andmaybe Jack, are going to the Stagecoach deal in Stockton, AL the 30th. We are staying in Grove Hill, AL the night of the 29th. I don't know the website, maybe Bruce or Don will come on.

Merry Christmas....

Fletcher,
I sure would like to make Stockton if possible. I found out when I got back this week that my bossman is going to be off at the same time to thin out a few more horned rats. I probabally won't know if I can get out of here until the last minute and then it will have to be a day trip. If not maybe we can get a group together for the Winter Rally at Camp Blanding in January.

p.s. Here's a picture of a good looking bike I saw in Alabama last weekend.

Sure sorry I couldn't make it, too. Honestly, there's not a better group of guys to be with than this bunch. (No, I'm not drinking ... nor hallucinating!)

Bruce, that's a great collection of Hondas! The Super Hawk and Super 90 really bring back memories; a CB305 (red) was my first bike and a Super 90 was my dad's first. Sigh. If only I'd had sense enough to hang on to it; then again, how many 17 year olds have much sense -- with all the hormonal stuff going on ...?

I know the children's home was blessed by your presence and presents. Great job!
