Atlanta area race moto support

I know Sunday morning is an awkward time to reach out for moto support, but once again I find myself officiating a large triathlon in Acworth, Georgia this Sunday 8/12, and the Race Director informs me he has only been able to round up two motorcycles for three officials...not good. If anybody in the Atlanta area, or elsewhere for that matter, is looking for something a little different to do for a couple of hours on Sunday morning, then do I have a deal for you! I don't know at this point if I can offer any compensation in the way of gas money, but I can offer you access to post race food and drink, and without a doubt I can assure you the scenery will be excellent. This is the Hansgrohe Acworth Women's Sprint Triathlon, open to women only, and they have filled it up with over 600 women of all ages...yikes!

If you are interested, either PM me or email at [email protected] by noon Friday, or [email protected] after noon Friday or Saturday and I will get you details. It's a short bike course at 13 miles, so we're not going to be out there very long. I only need one additional MC, but if more show up you'll be used too, because they will likely have photographers who will need a ride, and if I were a betting man, I'd wager that the two he already has are Harleys and not the best for sneaking up on cyclists in the act of illegally drafting.

That was actually fun...

The people falling off of their bikes at dismount was the highlight.
That has got to hurt.

Keep me posted for other races.
I would do that again.

I should have given you some business cards so I can get on the event planners radar screen.

You have a twisted sense of humor.

Mel just suggested a contact point in east TN regarding this...closer to home for you too. I'll PM or email you about it shortly. I REALLY appreciate your support this morning.

Tom,
I didn't realize you had done that. Some people from here who went to see some of it said they saw a GS or two.

Until I can get a replacement for Rover, you let me use your bike and I'm in. I'll be in again whenever the replacement gets here also.

Break out the wallet and buy a new one, it's not a hobby!
