BMW may be racing, but Nate Kern probably won't be. He was in a third lap accident that has him in the hospital in Birmingham. From what I understand the bike was totaled. You can keep up with Nate, N8, on his blog.

one of kern's team mates works with me. he rides sometime. he's out right now with some broken fingers. he went down while racing a suzuk. if he's able and there is a bike for him, he'll race.his name is james chance. he's from savannah.

HEY! That's half a mile from my house! NOT a good motorcycle track, lots of wrecks...bad ones.

Oh, and you can't just go and pay for a ticket to watch the events. It is a private, closed track

the guy who told me about it said nate kern was going to get us in but that he will still be recovering from his recent crash. there is a track day the last week end of may that james chance is going to try. if he can race he may race one of kern's bikes. james is recovering from a recent crash as well, but he's much younger than nate.

N8 crashed on Ivan Messina's BMW, the other BMW team. Thread is here, on BMWXplor: http://www.bmwxplor.com/forums/topic/show/950#new

If you;re not on there already, you have to register with a VIN. I like here better, but I visit there occasionally, as do the racers, N8 and Ivan.

N8 is doing fine now, but likely out for a while.
