Road Info Needed

Does anyone know the condition and / or the drivability of the HW between Johnson City, TN and Asheville, NC?

It does not show as Interstate on City Navigator.

Thanks

I made that run last year. It isn't Interstate, but it is all good road.

Road Good!

All 4 lane between Johnson City and Ashville now - The small roads that parallel the new road are a hoot!

Lee,
That road is locally known as 19/23 and more recently tagged as I-26. It's a straight shot two lane interstate through some beautiful country. It should
take you approximately about 90 mins. to complete the trip. Lots of services along the way. Becareful going through Madison county, it's smoky, and by the book. Have a safe trip.

I've run it several times this summer. No problems. The proper designation are I 81 to I 26 (future), but near as I see, it's all I 26 right to I 40 or the various bypasses.

I am sure there are secondary roads that are much nicer, but I haven't learned them, yet.
