So long Shreveport Motorsports

I haven't to the dealership in Shreveport in quite a while - just nothing there for me - and the other day we just happened to drive and lo and behold it is now a lawn tractor/yard equipment place. So I just googled them and landed on their Facebook page. After 29 yrs, they closed their doors on Nov 2.

They handled BMW, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. The problem I had with them was that the lone BMW mechanic only worked every other weekend, so scheduling weekend work was a royal pain.

So, now those of us in East Texas will be heading west to Dallas I suppose for anything BMW motorcycle related.

Re: So long Shreveport Motorsports

Sounds like there wasn't enough demand for a second full time mechanic. I wonder if the business was for sale and nobody came forward?

I'll have to check that out.

Yeah....Google shows it to be 5 1/2 hrs away. About 2 1/2 to Dallas from here. Much prettier drive than Dallas though.

Hmmmm....5 1/2 hrs I could almost be in Austin...........

That I don't know. All the Facebook page said was that after 29 yrs they were closing their doors.

Yep, I agree about Plano. I've taken it there once before and been very pleased with their work and turnaround time.

Re: So long Shreveport Motorsports

I tried to buy my K16 from Shreevesport. Couldn't do the deal.

I ended up in Houston.
