Hey Texans

I am thinking about towing the LT from Kansas City area to a relatives house just south of Dallas area. Do you guys think that is far enough south to safely ride in January??

If not how far south should I go. My final destination would be Fort Meyers, Florida, but I don't want to trailer my bike that far.

Thanks for any insight.

Re: Hey Texans

Should not be any problem. Just watch the weather for rain turning to ice. Dallas gets hit by Ice a few times a year. Come on down to Austin & say Hi. If you need a place to sleep for a night or two we have room.

Re: Hey Texans

Here in Dallas the weather is warming up this week, we should be getting into the low 60s during the day with Sunday hitting 70 degrees. Right now overcast with light rain. It all depends on when you plan to travel through.

Re: Hey Texans

+1 on watching the weather. It can be 70 one day and 20 the next. The main issue is watching for ice.

Thanks to everyone for your insight. I'm going to give it a shot sometime after the Jan 20th.
