Just bought a new-to-me '01 LT to replace my FJR for LD riding. My wife is once again willing to ride with me and, although the FJR has probably been my favorite bike ever, it has never been her ideal ride. So, I added a KLR for one-up and commuting duty and the LT for real travel and two-up, and the FJR has just sold.

I had a '99 LT a number of years ago and really enjoyed riding her, but never really had the confidence to do much work on my own other than some simple electrical farkles, (I was ksawatsky on this forum back then) but have since started doing all of my own maintenance and mechanical work.

The LT is naked at the moment to repair a broken crankcase breather and do filters and a valve check while I'm in there. I'm looking forward to getting her all sewn up and enjoying the ride!

I'd be interested in DFW-area tech day or just getting together with those who know this beast so much better than I do...

Re: introducing...

Welcome back!

If you want to have a tech day, or even just 1:1 help, just ping me.

My wife usually works a couple weekends a month so plenty of time to help out.
