Re: Cota F1

Not wanting Stevie and Sammie to be all alone, I have two more sets of premium tickets for tomorrow where they are in the Turn 15 grandstands, Section 22, Row 34, including parking. these are PSL tickets and give you access to a lot of restricted spots like the PSL only hospitality tents, etc. The catch is you got to come and get them. Later this evening or early tomorrow -- as you head to the track tomorrow, you can swing by. Ping me if you want a pair ... to make it interesting, the second pair gets the better parking pass. Several hundred dollars worth of tickets and parking.

EXCELSIOR !!!

Re: Cota F1

First a VERY BIG THANKS to Barrett & Myra for giving us the tickets for Fridays F1 Practice day at COTA. I have only been close to the track when one time when it was being built to pick up a broke down bike. This track is amazing in all aspects. We had great parking & the best seats in the place on turn 15. I have never followed F1 very much but I do enjoy racing of any kind. With help from the F1 race Program (115 page book) we figured out who the drivers were & what cars they drove are. Sammie pick her favorite driver the old fashion she bought the prettiest cap with a Ferrari emblem on it. The driver is Fernando Alonso & after Sammie saw his picture she was happy with her choice. Here are a few pictures I took.

Thanks for the pics, Steve! Wish I coulda taken advantage of Barrett's most generous offer, but alas, I was strapped in driving a laptop for my employer. Hope everyone who was there had a great time.

I'm not much of a round-n-round race but I would kinda like to see these bad boys some day.

Re: Cota F1

Turn 15 is where we sat for the ALMS a couple of months ago. We were to the left of where you were based on the pics.

For first timers, I can suggest one of the smaller races as they are still vendor supported well and you can move around the different grandstands (they don't really marshall seating on Fri/Sat).
Also, I had the opportunity to walk through the pits and onto the front straight when they opened the track for the 'pit walk'. Very cool to see cars and teams up close.

But one day I will open my wallet and go to the F1 and MotoGP races too.
Looks like a great time had by all.
