Unhappy Lone Star BMW Sold.

As of today Lone Star BMW is under new ownership. They were bought by the same company that owns Woods Fun Center plus about 17 to 20 other motorcycle dealers. Long time owners (30 plus years) Peter & Robert will still be around for the next few months to help with the transition. Things will not be the same at Lone Star BMW any more.

😰 You know Woods far better'n most folks around here (aren't they into Hondas?) - reckon they'll keep Lone Star in the top 5 dealerships?

Honda, Kawasaki ,Yamaha, Sea Doo, Spyder plus assorted ATV's. Rumor has it Lone Star will be moved to the Woods building after the first of the year. As far a top 5 dealer goes only time will tell.

Re: Lone Star BMW Sold.

Don't know what to say....I am in shock. Those guys have run a real business successfully for years. If retirement is their aim I sure wish them well and time to enjoy riding.

Quite a change coming for the staff there. I sure hope all works well for them....great group of guys and gals.

Best of luck!

Ron

Re: Lone Star BMW Sold.

That is a very big loss. LSBMW is the only reason I stayed with the brand. Robert and Peter always sorted out any issue or mess quickly and professionally. I will miss them very much.

The Woods investors have big shoes to fill.

Re: Lone Star BMW Sold.

What a sad post. From my view, Lonestar was a great business. I will miss them.
But I wish them the best in the next phase of their lives.

I guess this means forced retirement for Karla Kay...she is way too young to go....and too talented.

Decembers won't be the same without that cold windy ride to Austin from Tyler.

Wow. I first started dealing with them in the mid 1980's. Hope it works out well for them.
