Which highway pegs for Touratech engine bars?

Hi all-

I've searched the forums and found various threads about highway pegs but would like to hear recommendations regarding which highway pegs are good choices for my 2011 R1200RT with Touratech stainless engine bars. My inseam is around 29 inches.

I like the idea of pegs which fold back like the Ilium but not sure they would work well with Touratech bars due to the mounting position (ie. Touratech doesn't really have a horizontal bar under the valve cover).

Anyone using pegs with their Touratechs? Pics?

Thanks!

I never found any worth a crap, I welded a tab on each bar then added my own. I can email you a photo if you need it. the bars are stainless so it welds easy, also 20 degree out on the tabs worked the best.

Ideally, I would like to find some that did not require welding. I was hoping that others who are using the Touratech could offer options.

It would be interesting to see your setup if you find time to post a few pics.

Thanks for the info!

I found these work well for me. Illium pegs, works and very easy to install and they do slide back and forth so you adjust them, they also fold under heads when not in use.

but will they work with the bars? You will need something when you fall, I was in the mountains with some JB weld drying after patching my valve cover from a tip over in a parking lot. It got me home now I have the Touratech bars. And a spare FD

I put a set of these on my wunderlich bars.

Thy can be be configured several different ways which is nice. Only problem I have with them is that they only have a positive stop when closed. So if you open them forward (towards the front of the bike) wind might close them at high speeds. Not a problem for me, but I'm not picky.

I just got back from a 2500 mile trip and thy were a great addition! No pics, but I could probably take a couple if you needed to see them.

Thanks for the pics.

Are those Ztechnik bars? My Touratech are quite different. I believe the folks at Ilium do indeed make pegs which will work very well with the Ztechnik because the lower bar is somewhat parallel with the ground. The Touratech have odd angles.
