2015 RT Mirror removal/access

My left mirror housing is pretty broken up and needs to be replaced. I have taken everything off around it, but for the life of me I can't get that front upper panel (the one that's attached to the clear air deflectors) off to access the two removal screws that hold the mirror in place.

And there is no screw on the underside.

Someone please help!!!

The clear section comes off with it, and there is a screw up underneath it. Its up in there a fair distance at an angle. I assume you took the speaker out if you have one to access it.

Re: 2015 RT Mirror removal/access

I've found this YT Video very helpful for getting the body panels on and off:

Having done this several times now, I discovered a few fasteners that were incorrectly fitted from the factory. When reassembling, gently wiggling each panel it generally helpful in getting these flexible bits seated cleanly and not forced.

I've done this twice... one to replace a gouged panel caused by a riding buddy's antics in a parking lot and again to remove the headlight assembly and install the cyclops LED bulb kit.

You remove the speaker and a few other panels, and then there are two bolts that hold the mirror assembly on.

The attached doc you get you the info you need.
