Replacement Battery Needed

Need a battery for my 2013 R1200RT. I have a BMW branded charger/tender and was planning on a BMW factory battery but if I can get a different one of equal quality for less and still use my BMW charger, I’d rather do that. Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Replacement Battery Needed

I purchased a replacement battery for my '15 from Batteries Plus. Different battery from the one that fits your '13, but they list one -- https://www.batteriesplus.com/batter...rt/1200cc/2013 -- looks like a great deal. 24 mos. warranty. Order on-line, pick-up in the store, and get a 10% discount. Worked for me. And my '15 battery has better spec's than the OEM BMW battery.

I have no connection w/Batteries Plus, other than as a satisfied customer. I've probably purchased 8-10 motorcycle batteries from them (or their predecessors) over the last 20 years.

Remember, YMMV, and good luck!

Re: Replacement Battery Needed

I had to buy a new battery this year and I did not get the over priced BMW battery. I went the Honda/Yamaha dealer and got a Yuasa... You may need the YT19BL-BS

Take a look at their website. Yuasa

Re: Replacement Battery Needed

I was on a ride to Big Bend National Park and needed a battery so while we stopped for lunch in Del Rio I picked one up at WalMart. Had same dimensions as the stock battery except it was not as tall as the OEM battery (about 1/2") which made it much easier to install. That was in July and it still works perfectly fine. I think it cost about $70.
