No Start when in Gear 2015 RT

Has anyone had 2014+ RT that will not start without being in neutral. This started happening this spring on my 2015 RT with 60k miles. I suspected the clutch switch but I hooked it up to the GS911 and when I go to real time values I can see the clutch switch activation when I pull in the lever. Also, my cruise works and still disengages with the clutch lever. Am I missing something?

One strange thing I noticed in the GS911. In Real time values there are two clutch switches listed. Clutch switch 1 and clutch switch 2. Any idea what the difference is? I only see clutch switch 2 change.

Re: No Start when in Gear 2015 RT

I had the same issue and it was the following microswitch:

32728537609 SET OF DUAL MICROSWITCHES $86.76 (Max BMW diagram).

Would not start in gear with side stand up or down. I ordered the switch, installed it in a few minutes and the problem was solved. FYI - the part number above is for bikes with cruise control, there is a different part number for those without.

I also know those are generic switches and can be sourced from other places but I wanted to fix it quickly.

The second switch (listed as a dual switch) is for the disabling of the cruise control. The other part number is just a single switch.

Good luck!

Yep .... had that same issue on my 2012 GSA and as noted it was just a microswitch. Not expensive at all!
