That was a great article.
I bought a new Trophy 500 in 1970 and beat the snot out of it, on and off road. Lots of fun on that bike.

Fantastic ! Thanks for the nudge down memory lane. My 2nd bike was a new 1967 Triumph 650 Bonneville and my 3rd was a new 1974 Norton 850 Commando, purchased in London at the famous Comerfords (defunct). The shop was frequented by McQueen and other famous actors (such as myself-I specialized in the horror genre) and was used by him and the rest of the USA team when they had raced in England. Lots of his memorabilia on the walls back then. All of the "cool cats" rode English bikes in that era ! Those mature cats that are still warm have now graduated to BMW products.
