Cortez 141 north?

Hi I am going through Cortez heading north. I have done Durango to ouray a few times already. Hwy 141 to grand junction looks intriguing. Do you know about this road? Or, any other routes north and eventually, west?
Thanks

For those of us in the Southern part of the country, you might elaborate as to just where you are for clarification. Just a thought.

When you get up to Grand Junction, a roll through Colorado National Monument is a scenic drive. I think Dinosaur (further north) is a good stop too.

Oops, sorry. Colorado. Thanks for input. I'm looking mainly for a route from Cortez to grand junction. What a great site. Response from Georgia and Colorado- you guys are blessed. Hwy 28 on an early Sunday morning and Durango to ouray early one (very cold) morning are in my top five rides!

CO145 that runs from Cortez runs along the Delores River and joins 141 at Naturita, is one of my favorite roads. It goes through the San Juan National Forest and is pretty much traffic-free except right around the turnoff to Telluride.

I've done 141 from Naturita to Grand Junction. It's a great road, espically the part that follows the Delores river.

141 is a really nice ride! Takes you along the Dolores river where there used to be a gold sluice along the ridge going down to the river parts may still be there. A little town of Gateway right under Gateway mountain uniquely shaped. We used to camp up in the Uncompagre just North and East of Gateway close to Carson's Hole (a box canyon). Lots of twisties and scenery. Watch out for folks drifting into your lane as they rubberneck. Dumps you onto US 50 just south and East of GJ. Grand Mesa will be on your North East. Enjoy the ride.

Munmi, i think we've met. I was in munising when a guy on an LT put pledge on my windshield and told me about the new paved road to grand marai. (Sp? At the top of the peninsula) if it was you, thanks for the advice. Another incredible ride

We may have met, but I probably would have used Plexus. I don't recall ever using Pledge. H58 is still tops around here.

Wife and I are hoping for our own trip to CO and 141. Hoping to go mid-August.

Wasn't you then. This really nice guy was all about pledge. Safe travels
