Aerostich Hi Viz Yellow Opinions

I'm planning to order an Aerostich Darien Light jacket, and am considering their Hi Viz yellow option. Wondering what those of you who have this color think about it. I have Motoport's Ultra II Kevlar jacket in what they call Hi Viz, which is really a pukey lime green. I hate the color. So I'm a bit leery about he Hi Viz, especially since I can't touch and feel one in person before ordering. (I'm not going to the Aerostich NJ Pop Up event).

My alternate Darien Light color is the grey. Any comments on that?

Thanks,
Clay

The Hi-Viz tends to look roached out in a short period of time. I have the roadcrafter 2 pc, Hi Viz with grey pants. I plan to hit the NJ event Thursday, I will get a new RC 2 pc grey jacket and pants..

Re: Aerostich Hi Viz Yellow Opinions

I have had a Darien Light in HI-Viz for 18 months. I don't mind the color at all. In fact, I find the color to be easier on the eyes (less aggressive) than my Hi Viz Olympia Air Glide jacket. The Darien also seems to repel dirt much better than the Olympia, which seems to collect dirt whenever possible.

So far, the color has held up well (one washing and two rain storms). But as I said, it's only been 18 months. To date, the best jacket I've ever owned.

For me, being conspicuous is priority #1 ....but I live in New Jersey!

I have had the Darian, Hi-vi for about 4-5 years. The colour has faded quite a bit but I love the jacket! It keeps me dry, protected, and visible.

Consider getting one with just the HI VIS Yellow stripes, just as effective, doesn't get grundgy as fast.

Good to know! I have two Hi Viz Olympia jackets that I love, but that yellow gets dirty quick. I may have to look into Aerostich.

I have the Darien Light jacket. Very comfortable especially during warm weather rides.
