Gerbing Spring Panel 12V Mount

Does anyone make a 12 volt flush spring panel mount for the Gerbing coax plug that goes to the battery ?. I'd like to just flip open a spring cover & plug in my controller.

Re: Gerbing Spring Panel 12V Mount

I know this isn't what you had in mind, but... --> http://www.sierrabmwonline.com/produ...ar-acpl-p-2206

This plugs into the BMW Powerlet and then to the Gerbing controller.

Even better is this one...--> http://www.sierrabmwonline.com/produ...r-acpmkt-p-768

This is the panel mount you're looking for. Here's a big picture of it on Gerbing's website. --> http://gerbing.com/accessories/plugs...mount-kit.html Looks like there are two panel mount options, maybe one for rider and one for passenger. But then, there is only one power cord that connects to the battery.

Dave, is this what your looking for? I'm pretty sure you would already know about Powerlet.com, but if not take a look. Lots of neat stuff.

Re: Gerbing Spring Panel 12V Mount

Gerbing jacks are size N (5.5 mm OD x 2.5 mm ID). Panel-mounted jacks in this size run about $6 or so -- WAY cheaper than the $40 Gerbing wants for the setup that Lee provided the link for; that one does include wiring and a fuse holder but still seems unnecessarily expensive. I wired mine through a fuse block so all I needed was wire and a jack. I then added this nicely-made and very compact spring loaded cover:

Thanks for the reply's. Warm & Safe Heated Gear has them for $16.95 & I thought that was expensive. I'll have them on both bikes before next winter.

Will the plugs from Warm & Safe match the plugs from Gerbing? I thought they looked alike but were different.

Re: Gerbing Spring Panel 12V Mount

Where did you find coax jacks that will handle the amperage Gerbings gear draws?

the Allied oned are rated at 5 amps
