Quick clothing question

I was thinking of buying the venting machine outfit for sale in the classifieds but not sure about BMW sizing. The pants are 42R and the jacket is a 52. I thought these would work since I wear size 40 jeans and take a size 46 in ch suit coat. After talking to the seller on the phone he tells me he is a size 33 waist but wears them over his jeans. Does anyon know if the sizes on the BMW clothes are different then US sizes. I need at least an extra large in the jacket. Thanks

Sam, every piece of BMW clothing I own or have successfully tried on is one size larger than I wear in US sizes. I usually wear an XL in jackets, shirts, ect and can only fit in XXL BMW garb. I find the pants to be more of an athletic cut rather than a relaxed fit. No "skooch" of extra room in the seat and thigh. They also run one size larger on me. That's my experience with most European sizing.

I have a BMW savannah II in size XL (or 58 in european terms).

I've worn XL for decades. Some vary a bit, but I can tell you that if I went to the next size on this jacket it would fall off me. Its a little large even at the XL, but not much and only in certain places (sleeves) which also might be by design.

good luck!!..geo
