Gerbings Recalls Heated Jacket Liners Due to Burn Hazard

Gerbings Recalls Heated Jacket Liners Due to Burn Hazard

I've had this problem with Gerbings gear in the past, resulting in some very painful blisters on my hip, right where several wire connections were made inside my Gerbings pants.

All lower 48 states plus Alaska on the K13GT in two weeks . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Nope, China. Has been for many years. In fact, their Controllers and Coax Plugs are a direct ripoff of a competitor's design, faithfully copied by the Chinese . . .

Over the last 6 months or so, Gerbing's has been moving some of their production to a plant in North Carolina, but it is a slow transition, expected to take 3-5 years.

Gerbing's was also acquired by a Private Equity Fund about 6 months ago. They say it will bring in new Capital so that they can expand, but that just means that they weren't able to do it based on sales alone.

The Gerbing's products I've used in the past have worked fine. Well, except for those 2nd-degree burns . . .

Butt here are better alternatives out there that heat more evenly and consistently.
