Re: Pump up Helmts

Hey, Bob

I tried the Scorpion with that feature, had to go up a size and then pump the thing about 100 times to snug it up, so it wasn't for me. I like the concept, if it fit me I'd have bought it.

I had the Scorpion, too. Fit was easy but it never held air, even after a replacement, so I just gave up on it.

Re: Pump up Helmts

I have had two Scorpion 1000's they fit true to size and both hold air and have never leaked in over 4 years.
Good helmet only compliant is the flip sun shield rattled a little but it's easily fixed with a little ingenuity.

Re: Pump up Helmts

What advantage do the air bladders give you? I've seen mention of a more secure fit if one winds up in an accident; and that the bladders can reduce noise. So they make it hotter in the summer and colder in the winter?

Many Thanks
Bob

Re: Pump up Helmts

The only advantage I've seen advertised is a "custom fit." If you have a lumpy head, I guess this would be perfect as a thicker pad on, say, your left lumpy side might cause sore spots, but the air bladder pads would conform to whatever shape your cranium might be (kinda' like those memory foam mattresses).

Thanks pete.

No lumps.

No pumps.
