Tourmaster Transition?

Does anyone have any experience with this 3/4 length Jacket? They're closing them out at a nearby dealer for $180. and it looks like a heck of a deal.

CE Armor, Removable liner, 600 Denier Ballistic cloth, says its waterproof.

Kind of too good to be true, but it looks like a nice warm jacket!

Thanks in advace

Ride Safe,

Bob

Re: Tourmaster Transition?

I have one and like it very well. Warm when it needs to be and well vented in the warm weather. The waterproof deal is mostly true but the coat gets heavy and takes a long time to dry. Better to just throw the Frog Togs on over it if the rain gets heavy, light rain no big deal. I think it's a good value when you price the "good" stuff.

Re: Tourmaster Transition?

I have the Tourmaster Sabor . About the same the Tourmaster Transition but a longer jacket. I've had it about 3 years & it works great. With the liner I've rode in temps down to 15 degrees without a "heated" liner. Anything over 70 degees & it does get a little hot even with the vents open.

Re: Tourmaster Transition?

Got one and like it, 2 seasons. I had a tourmaster lite before and really liked that one this is a bit heavier but lighter than the advance. Transition is a good choice, all around jacket.

Re: Tourmaster Transition?

I have the Transition and Flex jackets and love both of them. I feel that Tourmaster is one of the best values in the market.

Re: Tourmaster Transition?

Great jacket, got a Hi-Viz Yellow, not the iridescent "construction" lime/green one.
Good from 20 - 70 degrees.
Did Vermont in Sept. 50 - 70.
Did BMW off road school Nov. 40 - 55, 1 day poured buckets, stayed dry.
Doing NJ recently, 20 - 45.
Comfortable and very adjustable with venting, removable liner and layer up room.
Could not believe the great price, my dealer did $179 in September.

You can see the color under my profile pix or gallery, tried to post but my computer
skills were not up to it.

Re: Tourmaster Transition?

Thanks for the replies everyone, I went back and picked one up today. It really does look like a pretty nice jacket for riding in the cooler weather!

Re: Tourmaster Transition?

I have the transition 2 and love the jacket, It is heavy when holding but once it is on it is the most comfortable jacket i have. (just wish it was high vis) I have worn from 30 to 100 deg. and like any jacket in high temps it was hot but wearing the right garments underneath, it breaths pretty well. You might want to shop around, I gave $120 four to five years ago and with new model you might find a better deal.

Re: Tourmaster Transition?

It is the new model, they were dumping the last of their winter jackets, making room for summer stuff. But either way I think it's going to be a nice cold weather coat. $120 sounds like a real steal! I've seen gloves sell for more than that.
