Gerbings Question

Hello all

I bought a gebings jacket liner for my wife and have a question? I would like to use the powered outlet at the rear of the LT and understand I need the specific connector to do it, however the instuctions say 7.4 amp draw from the jacket and to use the supplied 7.5 amp fuse provided.

My bike is coverered here in Ohio for the winter and my clymer manual just tells me where the fuse for that circuit is, but not the size fuse (my guess is 10amp) could I plug in and not worry, or just add an inline 7.5 amp fuse.

Thanks
Glen

No problem at all to use the Receptical at the rear for the wife and the one under your left foot for you. I have Gerbing Jacket liners and gloves for both of us and they work great.

Gerbing sells the BMW adapter....you just replace the power cord supplied with the new adapter cord and don't worry about the fuse since that circuit is already fused.....it is the first item on this page:

Hope that helps,

Ron

Re: Gerbings Question

The same fuse for the sockets also powers the windshield and it is 15A.
