Re: San Antonio helmet company!!!

I saw them at the San Antonio Bike Show a few years ago. They put things like LEDs in the outside vents and clear LEDs in the viewport for late night map reading. A friend bought one of their flipfront helmets and had a hard time finding parts for it when it started breaking.

Re: San Antonio helmet company!!!

I heard about this a couple of years ago.

They don't manufacture helmets. They put on the doodads and the graphics. The actual helmets are imported.

Some kewl designs nonetheless.

Thanks for input, Gents.. yeah.. I don't need more complexity or "aftermarket" type stuff.

What was interesting was the graphics.. but I also the visor technology is interesting..

Ok.. I called ...

Nice lady on the phone. Took my email and will send info .. probably their mailing list.. but will let me know when the product arrives.

It is being made overseas... but she was not privvy to the specifics..

So, they are filling a niche... and their claim is the technology...

I've got the Akuma Apache and love it. Ventilation may not be the best, but comfortable. I have the Aegis Gold Visor I use during the day and the clear for night. Very happy, easy to swap visors and the led lights add a little piece of mind.

We have helmet company over here in the Hotlanta area too. Not sure on the fit, but I'd sure like for their sheilds to be available on Shoei helmets. Wiki Helmets
