Re: Roof helmets.. from ..er.. France

and your point?

I spend enough time in both places to appreciate their unique qualities. And drawbacks. One of the advantages of old Europe is the amount of creativity and innovation going on there.

Another example: http://www.foundem.co.uk/M/bikes/Hel...60_Vintage.jsp - very nice and quite different...

Re: Roof helmets.. from ..er.. France

My point?

I would like to try out the helmet, but not avail in US apparently.

It does look like a good design and function..no matter where it's from...

I've been known to not be pleased with the French Government, but not it's people... although folks are often lumping the two together... even in Osamerica.

If you get a chance to try one on.. and you have a "Shoei" shaped XXL head, let me know what you think of them.

Next there will be the interesting DOT controversy...getting them imported.....

I'll leave the politics aside to save a few electrons, but look at this, available in the US:

Some interesting products there.

Here's a helmet that should give the open-face helmet crowd the air they like, yet protect the front half of the face in a fall (although it looks like a lacrosse helmet or something):

With any of their helmets you'd have something not likely seen on U.S. roads.
