Alpinestars S-MX 2 Waterproof

Anyone have or used these either in the breathable or waterproof version?

I like the look, and good reviews. And thank GOD the toe sliders come off

Just curious if anyone has any experience with them or Alpinestar boots in general?

I love all of the Alpinestars stuff. I have mesh jacket and pants that are 4 years old and are holding up great. Bought a new 4 season jacket this past winter. It fits very nicely. I have had a lot of other brands of gear that the zippers don't hold up. So far, no problem with the Alpinestars . I have never had a wet foot in their water proof boots. However, if I was planning to ride in much wet weather I would want a full boot, not an ankle height boot.

Thank you for the report and opinion!

I have only a set of their Pressure Summer Gloves and they are the greatest thing since sliced bread!

I have invested in the foot rain covers so I think that will take care of low verses high cut.

I cant wait to get them and break them in which I hear is not a long process.

Thanks again..........

Re: Alpinestars S-MX 2 Waterproof

These are great riding boots for me. They are like slippers after only a day or two. Wore them all day the first and second day on my job and they are very very comfortable. Have not looked back and wear them all day anytime I take the bike to work.

I like the inside ankle protection a lot. They fit well and are waterproof as I found out on the way home the other day.

The work on the bike with shifting and such with no issues. I have to say I like them a lot.

Protection wise since they are high over the ankle I think I am fine. As I said they have inside ankle plates in them.

Seem well made and now since I broke the leather and they are dry I will slap some polish on them and see how they wear.

If you like mid boots for summer, I have to say these are very nice.
