How do I use my raincover on my tank bag?

The 2005 1200RT I purchased came with a tank bag but no manual. Can someone tell me how to use the raincover on this OEM tank bag. Many thanks.

The rain cover is usually folded down inside the bag. Pull it out and it will form a much larger (at least larger than the tank bag) and will have a pull string at the top. Fill it up and cinch it tight with the drawstring. Fold the remaining down inside and zip it up. The outside of the tank bag still gets wet but the stuff inside stays dry. The cover does not go over the bag itself just the contents and is attached to the inside of the bag. I have seen some after market cover that go over the outside of the bag itself. I would have preferred that.

I sat for a while wondering how that liner was going to fit over the tank bag and still zip. I just knew it had to go over everything. Bummer it doesn't. I have not had to use it in the rain so I am not sure how "waterproof" it is. Hold a lot of stuff and the way it goes on and comes off is awesome. Makes it easy to tank up.

It is really misleading to say that it comes with a rain cover built in because it really doesn't. They are not really waterproof either as water will get in through the zippers. I just broke down and bought a rain bag cover for it. Just another silly BMW accessory that really never really got chalked out enough on the drawing board before they decided to go to production.
