Question Silks!!!

Hi all;

I am checking my gear ( LOOOOONG WINTER) and found my silks to be worn through in a couple of spots.

Just wondering where to get new ones.

Thanks,
Bowdon

Re: Silks!!!

I know it's not motorcycle specific, but I've had very good luck with [URL=http://www.cabelas.com[/URL] since I do camping, hunting and riding. They have silk and wicking synthetics of different weights including the Mil spec ECWCS stuff and in sizes that actually fit tall people.

Re: Silks!!!

Thanks for all the responses, but I guess I did not make it as clear as possible.

The SILK is the brand name for the "under the helmet" top of the head!!!

This was my mistake, but will be looking for the shorts!!!

Regards,
Bowdon

There is also a brand named 'Slik', with two different models. A cotton type and one of a nylon type.

Re: Silks!!!

try cyclegadgets http://www.cyclegadgets.com/slik/about.htm
We've had ours for some time now, I think I got them directly from the Sliks. Doesn't look like that is an option now. Sure is a great product.

Jim's correct. The original SILKS was a Mom and Pop operation. When they decided to retire they sold the business to Cycle Gadgets, which to the best of my knowledge is the only place they're available. I recently ordered a couple from them myself.
