Youth Gear

I want to take each of my children on a bike trip when they are old enough, but an having a hard time finding street youth riding gear. Helmets are easy to find, but jackets and pants are not so easy. I will likely buy one set of gear and when it fits will determine when the kids can go (might not get away with that on the helmets). Anybody been through this or have a good place to look. I would like to find textile so it's waterproof. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Youth Gear

How old/big are your kids? Motorcyle Superstore is a good start...for jackets, look at women's XS sizes. Finding pants will be the challenge.

That BMW kid's gear Starfighter mentioned looks great!

Re: Youth Gear

My oldest daughter is 5, middle is 1 1/2 and my son is 4 months, so I'm looking down the road a few years. I'll have to start checking out the XS stuff.

Re: Youth Gear

I bought the BMW gear for my kids last year when they were 8 and 10. It works great. The jacket is a little big but the overalls are great. They wear shorts under them and when we get off the bikes the just take off the pant and get the flip flops out of saddlebags.

http://www.babybiker.com had a large selection of clothes. It is a UK site so shipping my be costly. You may also want to check out http://www.childridingbelt.com/enghome.htm .

Re: Youth Gear

Tourmaster has just come out with a youth version of their Jett jacket. You might want to check that out or consider a women's jacket.
