Cool Hit-Air Vest?

Has anyone tried the Hit-Air vest? I saw a news story on it on a NBC affiliate in Oklahoma and recently saw it advertised on one of my favorite websites for buying security & apparrel... I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of it, bought one? used one?

What do you think?

Re: Hit-Air Vest?

I have seen it demonstrated, live and in person. It's very impressive. The company also runs a video at their booth, showing a stunt man falling off a bike and deploying the vest. Build quality seems very high.

Re: Hit-Air Vest?

I like the concept of an using an air bag in riding apparel because of the severity of an injury due to the impact, abrasion is bad enough but the impact from an unscheduled dismount may cause more severe injuries especially to the neck and spine areas. That is what concerns me most.

Thumbs up Re: Hit-Air Vest?

That's great! I thought there would be good things to be said about it. It looks pretty impressive to me. These days, riding is more fun than ever considering you save so much gas money in the process. Being safe is priority one. I think I may buy one.

If you do get one, please give us a review after you've had it for awhile (hopefully a review that does NOT include how it works in a get-off). I'm curious how it fits, how it works in hot weather, quality of construction, etc.

Re: Hit-Air Vest?

I know a vendor who was carrying them for a while, after a year or so he gave up with company. It seems he had problems with warranty issues quality problems and overall lack of customer support.
Maybe they resolved these issues by now.
