BMW System V Visor removal

At the time I bought the helmet it didn't seem important that there was no manual in the box (how difficult could it be?).

Anyway, I now want to replace the visor and I can't figure out how to get the old one out.

Can anyone offer any assistance - or point me to a site where I can download instructions?

Many Thanks.

Arthur

You should have got a little book of destructions with your helmet butI will try to describe the procedure.

Sit on a kitchen chair and put helmet on your lap with visor facing you. Close chin bar and open visor. Put point of visor against chest and now grasp visor near hinge point and pull......pull harder. It should just pop out.

Look carefully at the sides of the visor. There are little arrows showing the direction the visor must move to remove. Also not sure about removal with chin guard down and locked, have only done this when it is down, but not locked down. HTH

Re: BMW System V Visor removal

I find it easier to remove with the chin-guard slightly ajar.

The System V visor seems to me to be slightly more difficult to remove than the System IV one.

Re: BMW System V Visor removal

Thank you all for the posts. After it was pointed out I saw the little arrows and with the chin guard locked and the visor open it pulled straight out in the direction of the arrows. I've mailed my supplier for the manual.
