Question Anyone Wearing These Boots? Opinions Please

Greetings all. Am considering purchasing these Sidi Strada Evo Air Boots for my summer time riding here in the central valley of California (HOT!):

Opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Anyone Wearing These Boots? Opinions Please

I live in southern CA. If where you are going is going to be is hot, I'd only consider a boot with ventilation. I personally bought the BMW Airflow 2 boots. Comfoprtable to ride and walk in. I have another pair of different boots that are not vented and rarely use anymore. Of course, they also hurt a bit to walk in, so that may have more to do wtih it.

Question Re: Anyone Wearing These Boots? Opinions Please

ArthurKnowles,

Thanks for the response. I am also considering BMW AirFlow 2 boots. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the AirFlow 2 boot in regards to ankle protection?

OBTW, magnesium black is the BEST color for an '06 LT!

Cheers

Re: Anyone Wearing These Boots? Opinions Please

I'd rate them as an eight or so. They have the usual roundel for protection, but are not stiff enough to prevent flexing or twisting. The supports are really just additional layers of leather if I have it figured out properly.

I have seen much stronger boots, but they are too uncomfortable to wear except for riding. Of course, that's my opinion and why I wear the Airflow 2 boots. Boots that don't get worn don't do you any good, and if I can't wear the boots when I get off the motorcycle and walk around I don't put them on any more.

I can say I don't worry about sliding in these boots. Or having pressure on them. Even a tumble shouldn't be a problem. But if for some reason the boot was trapped with the foot in it, it will flex more than other types and an injury could occur. Not a likely occurance as far as I am concerned, but you may have different ideas. Different riding styles.
