Question Are BMW Airflow 2 boots cooler than other boots?

I'd like to know if any has tried or is using the BMW Airflow2 boots and if yes, how happy you are with them?

I have had a pair for 2 years now and absolutely love mine, yes they are much cooler. Just keep in mind that they are not waterproof.

Re: Are BMW Airflow 2 boots cooler than other boots?

Thanks for your reply. I have waterproof boots. I'm looking for something that will keep my feet cooler when the outside temp is 80 plus degrees. I've been wearing Rev'it Freestyle. They're very comfortable, light & waterproof but quite warm. I recently tried on the BMW Street Sneaker 3 but they don't fit my feet properly.

I have a pair and I highly recommend them. Very cool on the feet, a bit stiff to walk in, but that's only the protection trade off. Excellent choice.

I'm on my 2nd pair in 5 years. Wore them in Death Valley at 118 degrees, they definitely helped. They are my summer boots, hands down.

Thumbs up Re: Are BMW Airflow 2 boots cooler than other boots?

Thanks guys. Your feedback was very helpful. I went out & bought a pair this morning. Now I'm looking forward to much warmer weather.

Re: Are BMW Airflow 2 boots cooler than other boots?

After a full day at a peak of 80 degrees in a recently purchased pair of Red Wing boots, which are excellent in near freezing to perhaps 60 degrees just killer over, these airflow2 boots are a godsend. As said earlier, a bit stiff for walking around but otherwise these things are top grade, excellent gear.

Re: Are BMW Airflow 2 boots cooler than other boots?

I have original Airflow boots pre Airflow 2. Been wearing the same pair for 6 years.

They are hands down cooler and more comfortable than any other boot I have seen - the only draw back could be protection. In an accident do not expect much protection . . .

Just my 2 cents!!

Re: Are BMW Airflow 2 boots cooler than other boots?

We got a pair for my wife about 1 month ago...she says, "it's like I'm not wearing any boots!". The walking is a bit odd, but it seems to be a break-in issue. I still prefer my old paratrooper boots for daily riding, and my full riding boots for rain/cold/high hazard potentials.

I think they're great (on the bike)! They fit me a little on the loose side and I would hesitate to walk very far in them. They are lower cut in height as well.

If you are looking for a boot to keep your feet cool on hot days but also dry on rainy days, try the TCX Airtech XCR boot. It has a Gore-Tex XCR liner that breaths but is still waterproof.
