Teknic Sprint Jacket

After wearing leather for the last twenty years, I decided to look at textile jackets. I looked all over the internet and found the teknic sprint jacket at ironpony.com for $99.99. This is a closeout price because it is the older model.

My new jacket arrived today. Haven't tested it on the bike yet, but it is a real nice jacket. It is waterproof, has a zip-ou liner, and vents front and rear. It is also pretty comfortable, but is a bit on the heavy side. Also seems like it will keep my nice and warm on those cool mornings.

Is also a really nice looking jacket. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has plastic zippers, not metal.

Hopefully I will get to try it out on the bike in the next few days, just need to wait for the snow we got this morning to melt, then for the rain to stop, hopefully by thursday

Re: Teknic Sprint Jacket

Got to test out the jacket today. It was 45 - 50 degrees, I rode 113 miles. The jacket kept me nice and warm the whole way. It is very comfortable on and off the bike. It is definately warmer than my leather.

Just thought I'd post a review.

Re: Teknic Sprint Jacket

Do they run true to size? I wear a 40 jacket, should I order that size or get at 42?

Thanks

Re: Teknic Sprint Jacket

They seem pretty true to size, but may be a little on the small side. Mine fits me perfect. I bought a 46, and I am about 5' 10" and about 190 pounds. I generally wear an extra large with shirts and jackets.

Since there is no return on these, I would order the larger size, but that is just me. They have adjustments for the sleeves and the waist.
