LT Liner Bags

Hey everyone! Looking for some advise or suggestions on purchasing some liner bags. Any recommendations?

Please let me know. I'm currently looking at the 3 piece set on cycle gadgets for about $250.

Thanks everyone!

I really like the bags made by RKA. I've had two sets of them for my LT's...

Another good set is Kathy's Journey Design Bags. Contact the folks at Bob's BMW about them.

I think Cycle Gadgets sells DeSantis' Beemer Bags. Other folks replying have named Kathy's Bags and RKA.

My bike came with two Kathy's bags, one side bag and a topcase liner. They have a good reputation and have worked fine for me. These Cordura bags (well broken in now) are soft, which makes them easy to stuff full.

After I removed my CD changer I needed another sidecase liner. Ended up buying an inexpensive Bestem liner on eBay. I think the eBay seller's name is Cruiser Backrest. It is obviously of less expensive material than my Kathy's bags; you can tell a difference in the quality of the zippers, for example, but it serves. The Bestem bags are probably the least expensive choice.

Chicane is a small outfit that makes a popular tank bag for the LT. I think they make a topcase liner but I'm not sure about side bags. The Chicane bags I have seen were all top notch.

If I were starting over I would take a good look at the Cee Bailey's bags. The pictures look similar to Beemer Bags. I saw them up close at CCR in 2006 and was really impressed.

I have a pair of side bags that I bought for my RT days that are made by Helen2Wheels. They work nicely in the LT, each bag has two side zippers and are soft making them very easy to pack and access while in the bike.

There is a company offering a three liner bag set for the LT on Ebay for $90.

I just ordered a 3-piece set from Cee Bailey's web-site for $150.

I'll post a review when I receive them.

Ken,

I purchased a used 4-pc set of the DeSantis liners made for the LT. Included were the left, right (w/CD) topcase, and topcase rack bags. They are very well made and have shoulder straps, carry straps and pockets. I got them from a fellow BMWLT site member and am very pleased.

I was only familar with DeSantis making excellent holsters, but they seem to make a darn good set of bag liners too! Go figure!

I'm sure they're all good. After all they're just duffel bags
