Question Helmet Suggestions Please

Greetings Sages of Motorcyling Wisdom,

Been thinking of purchasing a new full-face helmet for LT two-up riding duty. Will be installing the appropriate J&M comm system. I currently own an ARAI Signet GTR, but there is NO WAY comm system components and my melon are going to fit in that bucket! Any suggestions for a cow-headed guy like me? Thanks in advance.

You need to just start trying helmets on.

If the brand your currently using is comfortable they may make one that will do but it seems they are all different so YMMV on every style or brand.. I typically run through them all every three or four years as manufactures seem to be constantly changing.. I have come back to the same brand for three times now..

Be very cautious of well used demo/sizing helmets because they do get stretched. You may like the demo but the one in the box may be very tight..

I have a very round head and have Shoei ZII Full face. I could not find a flip up that did not put pressure somewhere creating a hot spot on long rides.I just purchased a Shoei XXL Multitec . Great helmet for melon heads. I got turned on to Parts 411 from one of the forum members here. Best prices on the net ,call them for an internet coupon code and get an a better price than the phone code price listed. They carry all brands and ship for free.

I don't know what the inside of an Arai helmet looks like, but you might be able to cut out the foam next to your ears, using a drill-mounted hole saw, and mount the speakers -- recessed -- into that hole. This way you get to keep your favorite helmet.

I found my Shoei helmet to be easy to install headsets into. The TZ-R has removable pads you can mount the speakers behind. I believe the RF1000 has the same insides.
