Short guys and riding pants

I am trying to find some summer riding pants for my son. He is 5'5. Most companies only sell them in sizes like s-m-l-xl or they sell them by waist size and not by length. First gear has them in short but they are not available till next month. So what do the rest of you short guys do about the length of riding pants?

Thanks

Try these. I have the regular ones and love them.

You may want a little extra length in your riding pants so that they don't ride up over your boots when seated. I like mine to hang a little long when standing so that they don't ride up over my boots when seated. YMMV

Firstgear HT AIR Overpants now come in T and S as well as R. I made the mistake of ordering the 42 S and it was fine as long as I was standing up and sucking in my gut.(30" inseam). Sent them back and got the 44 R (just a little baggy).

Olympia make their pants so that they are alterable. Just take them to the neighborhood seamstress or alteration shop.
