Exclamation Chicane Tank Bag, Hydration Bladder

I ordered the LT Chicane Tank Bag from Randy today. He told me that he does not sell a hydration bladder for it yet, but has been told there is one that fits it. He thought the manufacture was Platypus. Anyone have information on this????

The Chicane bag works fine with the Platypus bag. If you fill it about 1/2 full and freeze it the nite before a trip you will have cool water most of the day.

The bag that looks like it may fit is the 40 oz, is that the one you use?

Mine is about 8 inches high and about 4 inches wide. I don't know the size in oz.

It fits in about 1/2 of the tankbag leaving room for other things.

I've been looking for something too and I found this one from Camelbak that I thought might work. Anyone tried it?

Thumbs up Camel Back

That one does look like it may work better then the Platypus. Some measurements of the bladder would be helpful.

I have been using that bag from Camelbak and it works great and fits the Chicane bag perfectly. I run the hose out though the hole at the rear of the bag and loop it arount to one of the front zipper pulls to keep it secure. I fill the bag with gatorade mix and water and put it in frig to chill. Cool drinks while underway can't be beat for beating the heat.

Thanks Laurence, I just ordered one of these for only ~$4.50 more than the bladder alone I listed above. It's a 2005, but at about half the price of a 2006.

I use an ST1100 tank bag - excellent fit and huge! Doesnt get in the way of the riding in any way. You can also use the sterio still!

Re: Chicane Tank Bag, Hydration Bladder

Reviving a six year old thread to get some current information.

Can anyone supply specs and/or source for a hydration bladder to fit in the Chicane LT tank bag?

Links in the older posts are long since dead.

I have the tank bag and am looking to put a hydration bladder in it instead of using a pack on my back.

Re: Chicane Tank Bag, Hydration Bladder

Tony,

I have one you can have. It is out of the packaging but not used. I put water in it once, but it would not work for my setup.
It is 95 oz (2.5 L)

Awesome!

If you PM your email address I will send you a prepaid Priority Mail shipping label as a PDF. I believe it should fit into a flat-rate envelope. If you give me your postal address I will send you payment for the bladder or can send PayPal if you prefer. Just let me know what you think is a fair price for it.
