Reverse Ride Tail--constructing a great ride tail

Reverse Ride Tail—constructing a great ride tail.

I'm still considering options for when I ride “Back East”, MA and possibly ME again, this coming summer.

What I'm toying with is the idea of finding an a rental to stay in, for a few weeks, that gives me access to great roads to ride, and access to interesting places to go when it rains.

I've received some suggestions for roads in NC; it's been a while since I've ridden the Blue Ridge Pkwy; Tail of the Dragon of course (wonder how many times i'd have to go and down it before it gets boring?); I had a lot of FUN riding from Rosman to The Dragon via route 64 and route 28.

The area East of Cincinnati looks very interesting, as does the area East of Lexington.

I found a Blues concert in MD on the weekend after Memorial Day weekend, but I don't think I want to get caught in any Memorial Day weekend traffic.

Any one from those areas have insight, experience with fun roads and a possible place for a base of operations?

Best from Tucson

I keep planning a trip to Maine and then on to Cabot's Trail but haven't been able to get everything lined up. Maybe this will be the year.
