UP ride

Well I'm back from meeting up with some of the members of the UP BMW club. We meet up at the Indian Lake state park near Manistique where I broke out the new tent!

What a great group, I have included a link to some pics I took while in the UP.

A couple of points in interest are the Big Springs, this is the largest spring in MI, over 10,000 gallons of fresh water bubbles into this pond every minute and it is stocked with some big trout. Also the old historic town of Fayette was VERY interesting, in my opinion it is worth a stop either to or from CCR. Also if you are in St. Ignace and feel like a burger check out Clyde's. It's right on the N. side of US2 as you head east from I75. What a great burger!

On my way home I headed over to the east side where I caught sight of a freighter. Cedarville and Hessell are cool little towns.

The roads in the UP are generally in great shape and very little traffic.

It's funny that it cost me more for my motorcycle and trailer than it cost for a car. Car=$4 motorcycle and trailer=$6

Loved the pictures and it looks like you had an excellent camp.
