Question Valentine One Owners: V1connection module for Android / iPhone

Last week, I sent my V1 in for an upgrade and had the "Traffic Monitor Filter" installed. (I live in Ohio, and those freakin things are EVERYWHERE!) Once I got my V1 back, I was combing through their site and happened upon the V1connection, for Android™. They also have a V1connection LE, for iPhone®. Before I pull the trigger on this accessory, I thought I'd see if anyone in here has this BT-enabled module, and see if it truly works in a real-world application.

My assumption is that I would be able to link my V1 up to my DROID via Bluetooth, then I could hear my V1 when I link my DROID up to my intercom.

Comments please. And thank you.

Unfortunately, that's a BIG "YES"! You pay shipping TO them, $199 for the "upgrade" ... plus tax ... plus return shipping. So, it was about $240 by the time I was done. Having said that, I'm glad I spent the $$$. The unit was becoming more & more worthless because I had to keep muting it, or turning it down altogether.

Oh, I'm a HUGE fan. I've had mine now for about 9, maybe 10 years. I don't ride or drive without it.

Joe, I'm thinking of getting a V1. I have a TPX now, and get lots of "false reads", let's say...

What is the Traffic Monitor Filter?

Tech support at V1 told me that traffic monitors are used primarily in Ohio, Colorado, and California. You can read more on this page ... hope that helps.

Re: Valentine One Owners: V1connection module for Android / iPhone

the link tells how to enable it and it sounds like perhaps it is already installed in newer units? This says the Traffic Monitoring is used in CA .. although I haven't really noticed it ... thanks for the tip though.
