Valentine product endorsement

I can't say enough good things about my Valentine radar detector,
not only has this little gadget saved me a lot of money over the years (when used intelligently)
the company stands behind it's product.

My Valentine radar detector purchased in 2005 has logged over a hundred thousand miles mostly zip tied on the handlebars of my two LT's,
it's been in snow, ice, heat, sandstorms and rain (wrapped in a ziplock with a rubber band) usually after it's already wet!
It's been down highways, byways and bounced around on gravel roads and goat trails where an LT doesn't belong,
but I don't have the good sense to stay out of.

Recently it started giving me some false ka band signals,
I boxed it up sent it back to Valentine with a $45 check,
and here it is a week later fixed and they gave me my money back.

Friends,....... it don't get no better than that!

Re: Valentine product endorsement

I agree. Own 4, all since the first Valentine appeared. They have been back for electronic upgrades and trade ins (the latter at very reasonable prices) to keep up with radar changes. The units from the past few years are smaller than the original though they look very similar.

While there is debate about what detector is currently best, one gets used to the arrow and they certainly get the job done- especially if you use a helmet mounted H.A.R.D. with them.

With gps holding speed camera databases there is less need for that in a detector around here. OTOH, good short pulse radar detection is needed especially in SC. (NC has specific requirements for court legal radar data that make such stuff uncommon in NC where I live). In general, I'd say real speed traps are pretty rare in NC- leo's here tend to be pretty reasonable and traffic moves quickly in most places. There are a few places where locals know accidents are common and they get the most attention. We do have pretty active number of checks for drugs and dui, though...They catch a surprising (to me, at least) number of folks without licenses or driving on suspended licenses (for a dui)..
