new to me R1150R

The LT is just too big for short trips or Canyon cruising, as spring has sprung I "needed" something lighter... and here she is on Balcom Canyon overlooking Fillmore, CA.

It feels like riding my old Kawasaki enduro after 6 years on the LT, even at 500 lbs. it feels very light and well balanced.

Not as silky smooth as the LT on the freeway, but that is not why I wanted one.

Very nice. I had a 2002 R in Atlantic Blue...One of the best machines I've owned. Classic! Congrats!

Re: new to me R1150R

I just bought a 2003 R1150R last Monday, like showroom new at 1250miles. Oh how sweeeeeet it is! I may get an LT someday, but 900 pounds sobers me, I ride alone 95+, and they don't come with winches stock! Power center stand is nice when it's vertical, it needs power paddles to tip it upright too!

I'll stick with what I can tilt back up until I get more thousands of miles under my belt.

Enjoy your new machine, mine is hard to park, it's so fun to ride! (Oh, it's black without bags or ABS. Love the gages!)

Re: new to me R1150R

Mine, the one in the above pic, ended up with a Parabellum windscreen, and a top box. While I love my 04RT, I'd give my left cod to have that ol blue one back. 2002, 03, and 04 R bikes are my favorite, and the 1150R was just plain great to tour on.

Congrats on your new 1150R!!!

Here is mine. Picked her on Monday. It has 41k, I have ridden/owned wings, Lts, and Rts. I kind of like the basic look and feel.
