Wondering about a 2nd bike

Hello all...I am considering a 2nd bike for commuting, etc. My dealer has 96 RS1100 for sale, 56k..price seems right. I commute about 20miles a day, mostly interstate. Other than that, I would use it for 1-up riding with my younger friends as well, etc. Thoughts? Things to consider?
Thanks...Mac

That's a decent bike and they can be had pretty cheap right now. I was never a fan of the rubber mounted bars or the riding position. Ride it for a few miles and see what you think...

Re: Wondering about a 2nd bike

Your other bike an LT?

If so, the R1100RS will be a nice alternate. I had a '97 R1100RSL for 10 years and it was a great bike. Make sure the transmission shifts smoothly, some of the early 1100's has some tranny issues, but I think it was mostly the '94 and '95 years.
