R1200C stalling issue

I have a 2002 R1200C with just over 18K miles. It is in immaculate condition and had its 18K service done and an bi-annual inspection a few months back at Bob's BMW. One of the concerns I had when I had the service done was that it would stall out when idling waiting at a red light or stop sign or just stopped and idling. It would not do it all the time. One of those intermittent problems. Bob's replaced the spark plugs, tightened the intake clamps and replaced something called a cat code, yellow ($6.59), whatever that is. The problem, since riding the bike nearly 900 miles, has gotten worse. It now stalls out every time I stop, not just sometimes. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? If so, what should I look for. What is causing it? Very annoying and embarrassing.

Unfortunately I have no ideas on your stalling issue, just a recommendation to join www.chromeheads.org and ask around there. That is a great group of cruiser riders both C and CL and some folks share a lot of knowledge.

Good luck,Robert.

Hey, thanks for the tip. I just registered. Maybe I'll get an answer.
