Torque settings

Hi all. I 'm new to BMW's and to this forum.

I have just bought a low mileage 2006 R1200R and I am very very happy with it.

It is always my habit to change oil and filter every 3000 kms or so and, by my usual timetable an oil change is due about now.

Can anyone tell me what the torque settings are for the oil drain plug and the oil filter itself?

Are any decent workshop/ maintenance manuals available for the R1200R or is there anywhere else you know of where I can access torque settings for the bike in general.

Thanks all and I look forward to talking with you all in the future.

Re: Torque settings

Oil filter 11Nm

Drain Plug (with new crush washer) tighten to 23Nm then 32Nm.

I found a service manual CD on Ebay.

Re: Torque settings

When i bought my filter my dealer printed out an instruction page with torque settings. The only info it didn't include was the bit required to remove the oil drain plug (8mm hex key). I assume it was taken from the same guide that is available on eBay. Be aware: the eBay guides are fakes and i'm told they only work on Windows PC as it uses an application to deliver the content (rather than PDF).
