Yes, no, and maybe.
Yes.. if you mean a simple throttle lock. Kaoko, Throttlemeister and Bob's Wrist Rest are three that are out now. I have a Throttlemeister and it helps out a lot, particularly in conjunction with a ThrottleRocker (which I remove when off-road).

No.. if you mean the electronic one BMW puts on the RT. At least not easily and cheaply. I wish this COULD happen. The electronic cruise on my RT is great.

Maybe: These guys are advertising an electronic one for the GS but I haven't seen one yet.

Hope this helps.

have a lookie here

http://www.mccruise.com/bike_range.html

you might be able to get the UNIVERSAL cruise to fit and work.

I bought a unit of these guys in very 2000 just after i got my 2000 model VFR800 and fitted it to my bike.
Worked like a charm and never had an ounce of trouble with it.

Best of all, its run by a pair of Aussies!

GS Cruise

There was an article in the BMW ON magazine about this company owners name is Brent. I believe the arcticle was written by Jim Shaw. As a newbie I hope I am not repeating known information.

Cool Thanks

Thanks guys, I am thinking about buying a GS this summer. I am retiring and I owe myself a new bike. I have lookked arround for a while and have settled on a couple of choices. A GS, a HD Low Rider, a Bonniville T100, or maybe something I have not seen yet.
My LT cruise control has spoiled me, I really like it on long trips.

Cruise Control ECC

Bud,
There are alot of riders who have added Electronic Cruise Control to motorcycles. I recently added an Audio-Vox ECC to my K1100LT because my K1200LT worked so nice. You can buy that unit from J. C. Whitney for about 125 dollars. It is a servo controlled vacuum unit for cars. It has all the functions of my K12LT and since you can adjust it........... it is even smoother. I bought mine on the internet for 90 dollars but recently one of the auto-parts chain sold them out for 30 bucks! I have never owned a GS but I had an RS with the same motor and I can't imagine any problem doing it. Watch out for "sellers" who are selling these same units for 450 to 550 dollars. You can "googal" up explanations how to install although the instruction sheet that Audio-Vox provides is good enough.

I found the article in July edition and here is a brief summary.

This was installed on an 01 1150GS.

It took two people about 6 hours.

No modifications to the bike were required. All mounting brackets etc. fit on existing bolts, studs etc.

Unit will fit on R11xxRT & GS models. A unit is being field tested for the R1200GS.

Price around $550

Riders Resources in Luling, Louisiana

Not cheap but Jim was very happy with this cruise control.

Smile Cruise Control

I had an 1100 RT before purchasing my LT. I bought the LT because my wife is much more comfortable on the LT. I wanted something different so Im leaning twards the GS. The guy I sold my RT is thinking of buying an LT and I really want my old RT back. Lot of great memories on that bike and Joseph has taken really good care of it. We work at the same place so I can pester him about it regularly. When I was in Alaska two summers ago on the LT I wished for a GS so when I retire this summer I think Im gonna do something about it. I have looked at some extra lighting and other after market stuff. I have been ruined by the cruise control on the LT and will find a way to have it on the GS.
