Waterproof Riding Gloves?

Does anyone have any recommendations for warmer weather waterproof gloves? I don't typically ride in the rain but sometimes I will get caught in a brief deluge or will have to tuff out the rain if on a long trip.

Right now I keep 2 pairs of leather riding gloves with me at all times along with a pair of rain gloves for golf (foot joy). If it starts raining, I slip on the golf gloves and tuck away the leather riding gloves. Then when it stops riding, I go back to the leather gloves. This works OK but the golf gloves don't offer much in the way of protection in case of a spill.

In the past , I have purchased so called waterproof gloves that were not (waterproof). Short of neoprene or divers gloves is there a good pair out there?

I have no problem spending the money if they work.

Thanks.

Re: Waterproof Riding Gloves?

I have a number of gloves ranging from Winter to Summer.

My gloves of choice for the summer are the BMW ones, both Airflow (not waterproof) and the ProSummer (Waterproof.) The Pro Summer have yet to let me down, and they are a number of years old. The only caveat I will say is mine are the old ProSummer, so I do not know how the new one behaves.

Generally, for waterproof gloves I recommend the BMW gloves. The only BMW gloves I could not get on with was the AllRound (Mid-Season) The others (ProWinter & ProSummer) did exactly what I wanted, keep the hands dry & warm/cool.

Best regards

Re: Waterproof Riding Gloves?

I have the Held Air & Dry gloves (Also sold as the BMW 2 in 1 gloves)

Same pair of gloves for warm weather and rain (Goretex membrane for rain and perforated leather for warm)

Worth a look

Daniel

If you can park it, and not turn around to admire it before walking away, you bought the wrong one.

Re: Waterproof Riding Gloves?

I have a pair of these. They work really well in all seasons. Aerostich used to make a summer glove that was mesh and could get wet then dry fast..
