1977 R100RS

Hello all, I have a question regarding synching carbs and adjusting valves on a '77 R100 RS.
I have a friend who owns one and it needs a bit of work. Being a mechanic by trade (Millwright), and owning a K1200lt which I manage to maintain, I offered to maybe have a look at it for him this spring. I don't have any previous experience on the Boxer engine.

Just wondering if anyone has some sound advice and if there's anything that would make it a little simpler? Thanks in advance for any/all advice.

I change your tires $50, you buy them on the web.
