New owner of 2015 R1200R

Took delivery today of a 2015 R1200R. It is a companion bike for my 2015 R1200RT. It is 100 pounds lighter with the same power. What a fun bike! Now I am waiting for BMW's R1200R accessories, which have not all arrived yet. The high seat is critical, and already I want to lower the pegs. Also, need to paint the saddlebags.

Nice bike! I'd love to know how the ride compares with the RT. I'm wondering if BMW going with standard forks ruined the magic carpet ride that the new RT's have?

Re: New owner of 2015 R1200R

Nice, I'm betting you won't be riding the RT much in the warmer drier months.

I bought a 2007 12r to keep along side my 2007 RT.
I found the 12r much more fun.

I've taken out the new 12rLC as well, really nice ride, forks work just as well if not better than the telelever. I never noticed any negative about them.
It's really, really nice ride.

I do have a deposit on the 12RS so waiting for that to decide what I do with the cash burning a hole in my pocket.
Oh and the 12RT went a while back and I don't really miss it. Although I did buy a Deuville for when it get to cold and wet to get my pride an joy dirty.
