1986 K75 c/s with sprag clutch questions

I just joined this BMW site so if I missed an earlier post about the sprag clutch problems, just let me know. I'm on my second fix as far as the sprag clutch goes. The first time I had over 100,000 miles and when I contacted the dealership they quoted me a price of around $3000. For that price I"ll do the work myself. After the first time I hadn't seen anything about adding CD2 or different types of oil. I've been using BMW oil and plan on keeping the same oil. When I first got the bike brand new back in 1986 it had another brand of oil put in by the mechanic that prepped the bike. From day one it would drop 1 drop of oil from the front of the engine every time I stopped. I had 2 different dealerships rebuild the oil pump to try and stop the leak. After 3 rebuilds I contaced somebody higher up the food chain ie corperate. I talked to the BMW rep and after reviewing the history and the number of rebuilds, he suggested going to BMW oil. I did and had no problem since then. Around 100,000+ I started having the starter problems. After I got it running It ran for about 3 years without any problems then started the sprag clutch problems again. At this time I put around 200 miles a week riding back and forth to work. This time I started reading about using different oils and additives. I think I saw one time somebody used a Diesel oil in their bike but can't find referance to it anymore. I"m pulling a sidecar for most of the life of the bike and the closest town is 10 miles so I get the engine well warmed up and I don't think, even in the winter that condensation is a problem. Any ideas of which oils or additives to use? I have the oil out right now as I got it running and changed for the first serious ride. Other than this problem the bike has been relatively problem free except for the little glitches like the speedo gear problems.

Dennis,
If you don't get an answer from this forum try the Yahoo Group kbmw.

It is very active and there are some very knowledgeable K75 owners there.
